Did you know that each year FDCA invests in a National Digital Advertising Campaign that promotes family day care as an option of choice of early childhood education and care, and as a career option of choice for potential educators?
The campaign uses both the Google Ads and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) platforms to target audiences that are actively searching for, or fit the profile of those searching for, child care or a career in the early years.
Those that engage with the campaign are then directed to tailored landing pages that either encourage users to use the FDCA Family Day Care Locator to search for family day care, or are placed into a recruitment funnel and are directly engaged with by FDCA’s Educator Recruitment Team.
During the first quarter of 2025, FDCA’s “Families” Meta campaign resulted in over 10,000 clicks through to the FDCA website, while our Google Ads campaign generated more than 19,000 clicks. This helped FDCA direct over 3,800 care enquiries for members via the FDCA Family Day Care Locator.
While FDCA’s “Recruitment” Meta campaign resulted in over 2,500 clicks through to the FDCA Careers website, the Google Ads campaign generated 5,794 clicks. This helped drive 225 new educator expressions of interest during the period, converting to 152 educator interviews.
Why haven’t I seen the campaign?
A question we are often asked by members is “Why don’t I see the campaign on social media?”. It is important to note, that the campaigns on Facebook are segmented in such a way that they target Facebook users who don’t already “Like” the FDCA Facebook page. As I am sure members would agree, there is no use in using advertising budget on those who already know about family day care.
How can I help boost the campaign?
From time to time, we will place an organic post (this isn’t a traditional advert) on the FDCA Facebook, showcasing the videos that are used in our advertising campaign.
When you see one of these (like this one for example), we encourage you to share it with your networks to help us spread the word about family day care!
