National Family Day Care Week

The thirteenth edition of National Family Day Care Week will take place from 5 May - 11 May 2025.

National Family Day Care Week celebrates the vital role family day care plays in the development and wellbeing of children across Australia.

National Family Day Care Week is integral to raising the image and profile of family day care. It celebrates the unique benefits of the small group settings, personalised educational programming and flexible hours of care that make family day care the option of choice for so many Australian families.

Hold your own National Family Day Care Week picnic

In 2025 we will be encouraging family day care educators and services to hold their own National Family Day Care Week picnic to celebrate National Family Day Care Week.

The first 200 FDCA members to register a picnic will receive a free picnic pack!

By registering and celebrating National Family Day Care Week with your own Picnic, FDCA can publish a media release for your picnic and send it to local media outlets. The more members that register their picnics the better than chance we have of raising the awareness of family day care during this important week.
