FDCA Learning Hub

The FDCA Learning Hub, which has been developed in partnership with Early Child Australia, continues to deliver invaluable resources and outstanding value to members.

Members can access over 45 contemporary and meaningful professional development modules, all online and available on-demand. The self-paced resources are peer-reviewed by researchers and educators from across Australia, with topic experts translating research into practice and educators sharing examples from their practices.

The FDCA Learning Hub can be accessed via the FDCA Member Zone.

Real-time Member Support

FDCA 2025 National Conference

In 2025 Australia’s premier family day care event will be held from 23-25 October 2025 at the Pullman Melbourne Albert Park.

The FDCA National Conference brings together stakeholders from the family day care and early childhood education and care sector, to connect and discuss key issues impacting the sector.

Keynote speakers will include internationally acclaimed New Zealand neuroscience educator, Nathan Wallis, former Olympian and World Champion, Dr Jana Pittman and Australia’s National Children’s Commissioner, Anne Hollonds.

Service Compliance Dashboard

FDCA’s Compliance Dashboard is designed to help approved services easily manage and monitor the status of key regulatory obligations of their educators.

Exclusively available to FDCA Service members via the FDCA Member Zone, the Dashboard provides real-time data on educators' insurance currency status and allows services to track a range of vital information about their educators, including the status of their Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Checks, Working with Children Checks, First Aid Training, and Anaphylaxis and Emergency Asthma Training.

In 2025 FDCA will continue to support service members increase their educator talent pools and engagement with new applicants wanting to start a family day care. FDCA’s dedicated National Educator Recruitment Program will support services find, evaluate and engage the next wave of family day care educators.

Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Checks

FDCA is proud to have been supplying tailored Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Checks (NCCHC), formally known as National Police Checks, since 2018.

During this time, we’ve provided 8,169 checks to members resulting in combined savings of more than $61,267.

Current FDCA members receive discounted rates and new educators qualify for a discount on their FDCA start-up insurance policy.

The Member Engagement Program has established itself as a staple in FDCA’s suite of resources that support members to deliver outstanding early childhood education and care.
