Following extensive consultation in 2023, the Australian Government has released its draft Early Years Strategy.
This important strategy is intended to shape the Government’s long-term vision for the education, development and wellbeing of young children in Australia. It aims to support improved coordination between Commonwealth programs, funding and frameworks impacting early childhood development. As such it will provide an overarching framework of government investment in the early years for the next 10 years.
Read more about the draft Early Years Strategy here.
The Government is now inviting feedback on the draft Early Years Strategy from the community and key stakeholders.
You can do this via a short 10 minute survey here.
Submissions are also welcomed and are due by 9 February. FDCA will be making a submission in response to the draft Early Years Strategy on behalf of its members.
