Take part in a study by Deakin University researchers investigating health and behaviour in early childhood settings, by completing a short online survey.
The study aims to help understand the current levels of confidence, knowledge, and skills of early childhood professionals, and further inform the types of support and professional learning experiences that educators may want or need in their environment.
The survey is free to access and all participants will have the opportunity to enter a draw for one of 50 x $50 supermarket e-gift vouchers (Coles or Woolworths).

New Facebook guides
The Department of Education, via the Australian Child Care Providers and Services Facebook group, has released a series of guides to help early childhood professionals find information on important topics, including an explainer series on persons with management and control.
To access the resources, make sure to join the Facebook group here.
Temporary services closures
Early childhood services must report sudden or unexpected temporary closures.
This task can only be performed by a person with management or control (PMC) and must be performed within 24 hours.
PMCs can report temporary closures through their third-party software or the Provider Entry Point (PEP).
Early childhood education and care services lead the broader education sector in Reconciliation, with more than 7,500 approved early learning services registered to develop a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) on the Narragunnawali online platform.
Narragunnawali supports schools and early education and care services to develop environments that foster a high level of knowledge and pride in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and contributions.
Educators can visit the Narragunnawali website for support in developing a RAP, and coordinators can access professional learning and curriculum resources for help and ideas with the implementation of reconciliation initiatives.
Be You also has a series of resources on Reconciliation, with a focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and perspectives.
Visit their website here for ways to embed culturally responsive practices in education contexts, including how educators can learn about local knowledge, language and cultures to build trust and partnerships with children and families.
