Over the past month, FDCA received a considerable number of enquiries about the rule under the Child Care Subsidy Minister’s Rules regarding the provision of care by a family day care educator to relatives. In short, the rule requires children, who are a niece/nephew, cousin or grand/great-grandchild of the educator, make up less than 50% of the children to whom care is being provided across a CCS fortnight.
FDCA developed a factsheet to assist members to comply with the rule, which is available in your Member Zone.
How do I access the factsheet?
To download the factsheet simply login to your FDCA Member Zone, access the Factsheets and Resources section from the sidebar menu and click on the "Factsheet - Care of relatives by a family day care educator" icon.
If you haven't yet activated your FDCA Member Zone account, click here to enter your registered email address and commence the activation process.
