Bring your marketing campaigns to life with the Family Day Care Photo Library

Finding the time and budget to promote your business is tricky! Pamphlets, posters, websites and social media pages are crucial marketing tools but filling them with content that’s high quality and family day care specific isn’t always easy.

That’s why we’ve launched the Family Day Care Australia (FDCA), Family Day Care Photo Library, which you can access here through your Member Zone.

Containing over 145 high resolution photos, the Family Day Care Photo Library is FREE to access and showcases a range of family day care environments and educational programs.

These images were captured as part of a series of photoshoots FDCA undertook in partnership with services and educators - real educators and children in real family day care homes!

Use the photographs for social media posts or add an extra “wow” factor to your hard copy resources, the possibilities are limited only by your imagination.

Updates from the Department of Education

Claiming CCS on Thursday

Normal public holiday provisions apply  to the public holiday this Thursday:

  • services can submit absences and claim Child Care Subsidy (CCS) for children who would usually attend; and
  • providers that charge a family for an allowable absence on this day must collect gap fees from the family.

Payment of CCS to services will be affected by the national public holiday.

Services Australia advises that:

  • for session reports submitted on Tuesday 20 September, funds are expected to be released to bank accounts on Friday 23 September;
  • for session reports submitted on Wednesday 21 September, funds are expected to be released to bank accounts on Monday 26 September;
  • no payments will be made on Thursday 22 September because of the public holiday; and
  • for session reports submitted from Friday 23 September, payments will be made as per normal.

Don’t miss the ACECQA National Workforce Strategy update

Education Ministers across the country have endorsed the Shaping Our Future: Implementation and Evaluation Plan. This document details how the 21 national workforce actions arising from the National Children’s Education and Care Workforce Strategy (2022-2031) will be progressed, monitored and reviewed.

Background

The National Workforce Strategy was originally developed and published to support the recruitment, retention, sustainability and quality of the sector workforce.

In October 2021, Education Ministers approved the publication of the strategy and requested work commence on an implementation and evaluation plan, to guide collaborative efforts to achieve the strategy’s objectives.

As members of the national stakeholder reference group, FDCA will continue to ensure that the voice of our membership and the needs of our sector are reflected in workforce strategies.
