Who is Family Day Care Australia?

Family Day Care Australia (FDCA) is the national peak body for family day care.

We are an apolitical, independent, not for profit national peak body that represents a national membership of more than 9,000 family day care educators and over 375 approved family day care services.

For more than 35 years, we have supported, represented and promoted our members and the family day care sector.

Our members are passionate and qualified early childhood professionals, educating and caring for children within the comfort of their own homes with the backing and support of their family day care service.

This personalised approach to early childhood education and care fosters genuine, lasting bonds between educators and families and gives parents peace of mind, knowing they’ve made the natural choice for their little ones.

Our aim is to provide more Australian families with the opportunity to experience high quality learning outcomes within nurturing home environments.
