How will I be supported?

From the moment you submit your application and begin your journey, you will receive dedicated one-on-one support and be guided by FDCA through the recruitment process. Our application process is designed to make the process as smooth and simple as possible for you, so that we can connect you with a participating approved family day care service.

If your application is successful, an approved family day care service will support your journey along every step of the way, from setting up your business to welcoming families into your home.

This support will equip you with all the tools and training you need to open the doors of your family day are business.

As part of your journey, you’ll have regular contact with your service in the form of home visits, professional development, training and events to connect you with your fellow educators.


Not only will you receive support from your service, but as an FDCA member (membership is included with your Public Liability Insurance) you will have access to a wide range of member benefits that can assist you to build a successful family day care business. These benefits include:
