Approval Stage Two

Getting approved for Child Care Subsidy (CCS)

Being approved as a family day care service in your state/territory does not automatically entitle you to administer and receive Child Care Subsidy (CCS).

New providers seeking Child Care Subsidy (CCS) approval will need to apply to the Australian Government Department of Education and must meet eligibility requirements.

To apply for CCS Provider Approval, providers must submit an online application through the Provider Entry Point (PEP). Applicants will use the PEP to communicate with the department about their application and to submit any additional information that may be requested as part of the assessment process.

Family Day Care Insurance

When a Service becomes ‘operational’, ie either operating with service approval only or after receiving CCS approval, they are required to hold an operational policy.
